Two big families, tightly bound by cruel traditions, are in a relentless war. Black and Asian gangs are fighting a great war to take control of the dark world of Oakland. The leader of the Asian gang is Po Sing, and the leader of the other gang is a ruthless leader named Isaak. The news of Po's death reaches his older brother, Han Sing (J. Li), who is a former police officer and was imprisoned in a prison in Hong Kong at the time because he took responsibility for all the crimes his father committed. During the years Han spent in prison, his entire family immigrated to America, and his father became one of the leading figures of the Chinese mafia. Han escapes from prison and comes to America and goes after the secrets he took to the grave with his brother's death and those responsible for his death.
